Statement on Baptism *
Jesus Christ instructed those who have repented and believed in Him to be baptized in water in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Baptism does not play any role in the atonement for sin or the obtaining of eternal life, rather it is a symbol of a person’s new birth in Christ. Baptism is critical to the process of sanctification and a foundational act of obedience for the believer.
